Monte is leading a Youth Poetry workshop to be held monthly at the Sundance Hotel in Winston-Salem. The focus will be towards at-risk youth to offer them a unique creative outlet.

The DVD for the Red Bull Word Clash wins the audience award at the largest independent film festival in the world held in New York City. After screening the film, the audience gave it a standing ovation.

Monte produced and hosted the Red Bull Word Clash to rave reviews. A packed house watched as 20 politically and socially charged poets competed for a $500 prize to be declared the 2006 winner. The event earned its highest praise to date.
